The 10ft Table

About this time last year I got an order from returning clients for a 10ft dining table. Here’s the picture she sent me when it was all set up. The table is 120″L x 40″W x 30″H.

A lot of people call this the Farmhouse, Truss, Rustic and Modern Farmhouse Table. It’s the kind of table that can really be what you want. I’ve seen this style done with a bold color and fancy big chairs.

The process is always fun. The stretcher was so long in the last photo I think I used all my mini clamps.

Moving a base by yourself is fine, but trying to move the top alone not a good idea. The top was pretty heavy as it was about 2″ thick.

After all the sanding it was time to stain.

We used Minwax Special Walnut, probably the 2nd popular pick when it comes to stain colors. I added 4 coats of poly in satin by General Finishes. The completion as we know looked like this at home. Thank you again for coming back and letting me build another table for you!
